Ligonier Academy and Reformed Theological Seminary have reached an agreement that will offer greater resources to their respective students. This agreement will allow Doctor of Ministry students from either institution to attend classes and utilize the library on the partner campus.

Ligonier Academy of Biblical and Theological Studies is very pleased to link arms with Reformed Theological Seminary to allow students in our respective Doctor of Ministry programs to take courses from the professors at both of our institutions,” said Dr. R.C. Sproul, Chancellor and Professor in the Doctor of Ministry Program of Ligonier Academy. “We are eager to see much fruit for the cause of Christ and His gospel from this new relationship.”

Doctoral students from any RTS campus will be able to attend, and receive full credit, for classes taken at the Ligonier Academy and vice versa.

Reformed Theological Seminary rejoices that we can join with our colleagues, Drs. R.C. Sproul, R. Fowler White and our other friends at Ligonier Academy, to advance the Gospel,” said Dr. Michael A. Milton, President, Reformed Theological Seminary, Charlotte, James M. Baird, Jr. Chair of Pastoral Theology and Interim President, Orlando.

RTS has a long relationship with R.C. Sproul since he taught for many years at the Jackson campus and was the first academic dean at the Orlando campus,” said Dr. Robert C. “Ric” Cannada, Chancellor and CEO. “This agreement between RTS and Ligonier is a natural one and it will better equip Pastors for greater service in the Kingdom of God in our generation.”

Ligonier Academy of Biblical and Theological Studies continues the mission of Ligonier Ministries by creating a unique learning environment devoted to preparing both lay people and pastors for real-world service and ministry. Although in the early stages of development, Ligonier Academy is already offering degree and non-degree certificate programs to a broad range of students through both on-site and distance learning environments. In the fall of 2011, the school plans to offer a new undergraduate program for young adults. Ligonier Academy strives to stimulate conviction of thought and courageous action as they teach biblical Christianity to a new generation. And in declaring God’s majesty and holiness, hearts will be conquered, minds renewed, and communities transformed. Learn more about Ligonier Academy at http://www.ligonieracademy.org.
