Better to have honesty than fake graciousness

A spiritual thought for this morning :) ~ it's better to be graciously honest, than feign caring while hiding anger and bitterness. Gracious conversation is much better than veiled deceit and flattery. ~ "He who hates, disguises it with his lips, and lays up deceit within himself... A lying tongue hates those who are crushed by it, and a flattering mouth works ruin." ~ Proverbs 26:24, 28

Those who love their rebellion against God and the cares and pleasures of this world use, as a constant practice, flattery to puff up the pride of those they want to manipulate and take advantage of. May we learn from their ways and how not to follow them.

"These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage." ~ Jude 1:16
