Jesus
said: “…
whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise
man who built his house on the rock…” ~ Matthew 7:24

How
much is God in the details of our lives? Check this out, to find out!

"Give us this day our daily bread." (Matthew 6:11) *** "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your
life..." ~ Matthew 6:25 ~ How much is God active in
the details of our lives? ~ We'll let's look deeper, shall we? :) ~
I'm
coming back to this, because I think there are some really neat nuggets here
that many in our country miss... and it's easy to do, right? :)
Check
this out again: "Give us this day our daily bread... Therefore I say to you, do
not worry ...about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor
about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body
more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap
nor gather into barns; yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more
value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? So
why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they
grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all
his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of
the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not
much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not worry, saying,
'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For
after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your Heavenly Father knows that
you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His
righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not
worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient
for the day is its own trouble." ~ Matthew 6:25-34
Okay,
I hope you just read that again afresh, as I just did :) So, tell me, how many
areas of our lives did you just see listed there? I'll tell you what I say and
then tell you why I believe it is important.
1)
food (even daily)
2)
something to drink (natural)
3)
taking care of the body
4)
clothes
5)
creation around us to encourage us and to focus us on
Him
6)
height
7)
stresses of life, today and tomorrow

Fascinating,
yes? Think about those for a second. - Do you realize how much detail God is a
part of each of those things? If He did not supernaturally help us find a job,
so we can buy food and pay our bills - we wouldn't have it. (Now, granted, some
jobs are demonic distractions and not helpful, but God still uses those to
teach us to hate evil and love what is right). Also, how much do we think about
the fact that God is the one who helps us find more nutritious food and
vitamins and herbs? Because He does. Also, He cares
more about what we wear and have to wear, than we do - that is proven by His
example and explanation on the lilies. Do you realize if we ask Him, He wants
to help us find clothes that glorify Him and inspire others to draw closer to
Him? :) ~ He is also involved in our height, appearance, and our body's health
- meaning when we find extra pains or other problems, He really is the One we
should turn to first, rather than listen to the world's logic - asking Him to
help us find the right (or best) solution. And, last but not least, how often
do we think about how God even uses the bills and stresses of everyday life to
draw us closer to Him? Well, He does.
I
think we as a culture too often listen to the lies of Satan and the world
around us that we are okay (in general) and how we can pull through this, 'if
we just do such and such...' Have you ever thought about how that thought
process excludes God from the subjects? Rather than, 'Heavenly Father (used 2
times in the passage above) I need your help in this' - we too often think
'okay, how can I solve this... oh, well, yeah, if I need help, I'll call on
God...' (or) 'Dear God, please bless my plans -
thanks!'
I
mean no condemnation in any of this, but I wanted to hopefully emphasize some
important truths from God's Word that affect our daily lives that we probably
too often overlook, including me. So, let's grow in this - sound like a plan?!
:) ~ One last verse to conclude - it kind of ties it all together ~ :)
"And
we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those
who are the called according to His purpose." ~ Romans 8:28*** God is not
passive in that passage or principle, but very active. The question is - how
are we doing at listening to His voice and genuinely seeking His face and
wisdom?
Till
next time, praying for you ~ take care, your bro/friend, a growing
servant/life-slave of Jesus, SH :)
