It’s December 25th Again

It's around December 25 again. It's time to reduce Jesus down to a baby again. It's time for Church people to sing Christmas songs that insult Jesus as if He is still a baby -telling Jesus not to cry, and other foolish advice. And don't worry, He will come back to life after the cross. If you chose to fall into fiction, you might not recover. Many people who fall into fiction don't ever come back out. If you reduce Jesus to a baby, you missed the truth. I quote some verses that show us where Jesus is right now. I don't know why those translators thought it is OK to reduce God's name to pronouns, but you might notice I put God's name back in many of these verses.

Jesus is not in the manger, neither is Jesus on the cross, nor is Jesus in a tomb. Jesus “was received up into Heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.” (Mark 16:19). Jesus is “exalted to the right hand of God.” (Acts 2:33) God through Paul said it this way “...and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.” (Romans 8:34). Then in Ephesians 1, God through Paul says “...the Father raised Jesus from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the Heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion. The Father put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the Church...” (Ephesians 1:20-23) God through Paul also said in Colossians 3: “seek those things which are above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth...” (Colossians 3:1-3) I especially like the way God said it through Silas in Hebrews 1 “...when Jesus had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels...” (Hebrew 1:3-4) And again in Hebrews 8:1 “We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the Heavens...” And again, God through Silas said in Hebrews 10:12 “after Jesus had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of the Father, from that time waiting till his enemies are made His footstool.” And once more in Hebrews 12:2 “...who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the Father's throne.”

God through Peter said it this way in 1 Peter 3:22 Jesus has gone “into Heaven and is sat at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.”

Jesus does not like being reduced to a baby every year. When Church people reduce Jesus to a baby again, they also reduce their holy fear of Jesus, and His teachings on holiness and obedience. But Jesus is the Lord and Christ the King - Jesus is not a baby. Maybe you should send this reminder to your friends.

I’m speaking on this at this time of year, because God has pressed me to speak up on it. I grew up as a little boy, believing in santa and elves, and early adult years celebrated “Christmas trees”. Step by step, God has removed those things from my life, and here – this step, He’s been showing me that even these songs reduce Jesus to only being a baby again, and they sing them every year. Reducing Jesus harms all of those who fall for it. No one worries about obeying a baby. But they need to worry about obeying the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus the Christ – in Heaven.
